I am possibly writing a Star Wars fanfic which will be one of those Luke and Vader father/son stories. I realised that Luke would need a friend other than Leia at the Imperial school he'll be attending, and that he'd probably be a bit of an outcast and therefore not human. Once I found out about Balosars, Kel pretty much popped into my head fully formed. He's actually half human/half Balosar, which I decided meant that he could have green hair, and that his antennapalps don't retract.
